At Trail CPA, we recommend using a secure portal to share sensitive data with our team. If you have never used Dropbox with us before, please reach out to your accountant and we can get one set up for a shared folder. As well, some team members have an upload link in their email signature where you can upload a file securely, without needing to set up a portal.
If you have forgotten your login, please use the forgotten password tools on Dropbox/MyTaxDocs or reach out to your accountant for help.
If you need to scan in your documents, we recommend a scanner or Adobe Scan App on mobile

From within this login, there will be a folder that is shared with Trail.
Any documents in that folder can be viewed by both our team and yourself, securely.
Anything outside of this folder is not shared with Trail.
Others
While we typically use Dropbox, we can be flexible. Some clients will email over docs or share using their own cloud software. While we do accept paper docs, this is not preferred. You can scan your documents in using Adobe Scan in the App Store/Google Play or one of the many scanning apps. If you would like guidance on the best way to scan in your tax docs, please reach out to your accountant.
